While android was earlier developed for small devices like smartphones in mind, it has expanded to tablets and then to android tv boxes and now is all set to make its way to desktops in the form of remix operating systems. This is now being used in AOC all in one desktop that is powered by Amlogc ARM processor.
The AOC remix all in one specifications include Amlogic S905 2GHz processor, 2GB of memory, 16-16GB flash storage and Mali 450 graphics. The AOC all in one will be made available in two screen sizes – 23.8 inches and 32” with both packing full HD 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. We would like to clarify that even though the chipset supports 108p resolution, the processor and integrated GPU can easily handle 4k WQHD resolution.
The remix operating system supports USB keyboard and mouse natively so you can use any wired or wireless keyboard on it. Infact, you will be use keyboard shortcuts, multi window controls and in addition, you will be able to download thousands of apps from the android play store as well. The Remix operating system adds a taskbar, desktop, boot menu etc. Like windows computer, it supports resizing in applications as well that allows one to move any part of the screen allowing user to interact with more than one app simultaneously.
The AOC all in one computer with remix OS 2.0 release date is not concrete but we have been told it will be released latest this summer. We do not have any information on its sale price but we are sure it would not be higher than entry level windows desktops.
