We finally have received official prices of latest Stream 11 X360 laptops. The series consists of five models that includes two notebooks, one convertible and two tablets. All come pre loaded with Windows 8 operating system, 1 terabyte of One Drive cloud storage and Microsoft Office 365 Personal software.

Until now the HP was offering the AMD A6-6310 Beema APU in the Pavilion 14z Touch, Pavilion 15z, 17z and 17z Touch laptops. But now the same range of laptops are being offered with AMD A8-6410 which has higher base clock frequency and better GPU than the A6-6310.

HP Offering Slate7 Shimajiro model in Japanese Schools

Hewlett Packard Japan Ltd has started accepting orders for the Slate7 Shimajiro model meant for young children. Shipping will commence February 20 and it will carry  a price tag of 19,800 Yen (USD 193), plus shipping charges (2,100 Yen). Early buyers will get a liquid crystal cleaner as purchase bonus. This offer is valid till March 31 only.

This special Shimajiro model adds a variety of apps via Shimajiro club. On the hardware side, the tablet is same as the vanilla Slate7. It does however comes with a silicon case as shown in the pictures.

HP Mini 1000 now with more storage options

HP have updated the storage options available for the HP Mini 1000 Series. It is now possible to get the netbook with SSD memory with either 16GB capacity or 32GB capacity, whereas the hard drive capacity has been upgraded to 80GB, which is quite minimal for most netbooks. Its other customizable options include 512MB or 1GB of RAM, 8.9 or 10.1 inch display and a choice between 3-cell and 6-cell battery.
