Top 10 reasons you should NOT get a SONY VAIO P

Over-Priced: We fully understand the fact that it is SONY. But, paying so much for a device that performs so poorly does not make any sense
Super high resolution: What is the point of giving the user super high resolution in an 8-inch screen? Is SONY under some contract of putting so outrageous resolutions in small screens? Looks like they learned nothing from their UX series which squeezed 1024×600 pixels in an 4.3-inch display
HDD not easily upgradable: Although we do not upgrade the HDD everyday, but it should be easily swappable in case something goes wrong with the HDD or if the user wishes to use SSD

SONY brings instant-on technology into its VAIO P-series

Instant on is a feature that almost all the manufactures are incorporating these days in their notebooks as-well-as netbooks. With it, the people can do basic stuff like do web-surfing; make Skype calls; chat on the IM client; listen to music etc. Corel’s Instant ON technology has now been adapted by the SONY which will now be included with the VAIO P-series netbook notebook.

The Instant ON feature is a nice addon for P-series as it comes only with Vista. The Vista takes quite a  while to boot on this Atom powered device. So, the people who want to take quick notes or check the web for something will really appreciate this feature. The VAIO P with the Corel Instant on feature is already available in Japan and will be made available to the rest part of the world later this month (February 2009).

Although, I would still keep my device my standby mode instead as I always need to do stuff which requires Windows OS. But still, Instant ON is something no netbook/notebook user will ever complain of.

New SONY VAIO coming – can it be a netbook?

Currently, if you go to Sony’s NZ website, you will see the following. So, in 17 days and some hours, they will be revealing a new VAIO that made a lot of news few days back?

What’s more? If you live in NZ, you have a chance to win one too! Can it be the rumored netbook(shown below) from SONY? Or something else. Frankly speaking, the only type of model NOT there in the SONY current line of Notebooks is the netbooks. Almost every company have a netbook in their laptop range except SONY. Perhaps this the one we have been waiting for
