Gaming on the iPhone

When it was released, the iPhone 6, like its predecessors, was an instant hit. People around the globe were clamoring for the device as either new iPhone owners or as an upgrade. The latest version of the iPhone, the iPhone 6, is being widely used for gaming purposes. In fact, many find the iPhone to be an ideal device for gamers. While previous versions of the iPhone worked well for gaming, the iPhone 6 is just that much better. Its dimensions make it easy to hold in one’s hands while playing their favorite games and at the same it provides more immersive experience as it packs a bigger display. Compared to the iPhone 5, the newer model has 0.7” bigger screen which makes a big difference in real life.

The iPhone 6 has a much larger and longer screen. While it still may not be as big as some Android phones, its length is important. With the longer screen, it makes for a 16:9 ratio which is the same as an HDTV. What this means for users is a screen that makes all mobile games look correct in landscape mode. For many who play mobile games, they find the experience much more pleasing with this new design. Another side benefit is that the iPhone 6 has a longer screen is that there is more room for the buttons and battery. Talking about battery, expect rise in battery runtimes by 30 percent.

Gamers point to this as another reason why they enjoy gaming on the iPhone. Many mobile have optimized online versions of certain games so they work well on the iPhone. The classic game of blackjack can be found for use on the iPhone. Blackjack is easy to learn and can be played quickly on mobile devices. The object of the game is to obtain a hand with a value of 21 or as close to that without going over.

Of course, it also matters what the dealer’s hand looks like. If the dealer has a hand that would beat the players, the dealer wins. On the other hand, if the dealer’s hand is less than the player’s, the player would win. Ties, also known as pushes, can also happen.

Microsoft has also brought some amazing desktop games like Age of Empires to iPhone and it looks wonderful on the big display. If you are a heavy gamer, consider getting the iPhone 6 Plus that packs even bigger display and battery.

Chuwi Vi8 is a under-100 dollar Windows 8 tablet

Many experts once said that Windows tablets will never be able to match the affordability of Android tablets. Well those folks have been proven wrong as many big companies have already started offering cheap windows 8 tablets. But what will Chinese OEMs react to this? Well some companies like Chuwi are offering their windows 8 tablets at incredibly low price tags. Their new Chuwi Vi8 tablet retails for mere 82 dollars.

Chuwi Vi8 specifications

Chuwi Vi8 specifications

For $82, you get a Chuwi Vi8 tablet that runs the latest version of Windows on an Intel Atom processor and free one year Office 365 subscription. Other specifications of Chuwi Vi8 include 8 inch, 1280 x 800 pixel IPS display, an Intel Atom Z3735F quad-core Bay Trail processor, 2 gigabytes of memory and 32GB of flash storage.

Why are some Windows 8 tablets so cheap?

The reason why some of companies are able to sell some windows 8 models so cheap is that Intel has been subsidizing certain models of Intel Atom family that has brought the overall cost of such devices very low.

Another and most important reason is waiving license fee of Windows. Microsoft is offering windows 8 for free to the device makers whose tablets are less than 10 inches in size. And to make the offer even better, Microsoft is throwing one year of free Office 365 subscription.

Intel has said that it will be waiving off its subsidies in 2015 which will result in cost of windows tablets going up.
