Android 15 AOSP, ie, plain google version of Android is available for the Samsung Galaxy M42. Everything is working except for the VoLTE and VoWiFi.
Steps to install Android 15 on Samsung M42.
Upgrade to OneUI 4.1 Android 12 first.
Download the ROM.
Download Odin from here.
If not done before, flash disabled VBMeta with Odin in AP or CP slot.
Install a compatible M42 Recovery -> TWRP.
Perform a NANDroid backup of your current ROM (Optional)
Wipe data & cache partitions and FACTORY RESET / FORMAT DATA from TWRP of your device. This is required if you are on stock ROM on the M42.
Flash ROM.
Optional: Install the Google Apps addon package.
Optional: Install Magisk for Root.
And that is it – you have successfully installed Android 15 on Samsung Galaxy M42 – the latest version of Android on your device despite Samsung not rolling out latest update for it.
