How to enter Download Mode on S26 Ultra after One UI 8.5

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra users will have to do a different processor to enter Download mode, which is also known as ODIN mode. The previously known steps that involved pressing a bunch of buttons together no longer work.

How to enter Download Mode on S26 Ultra

You will have to access the download mode on your S26 Ultra. For this, you must first enable maintenance mode. For that, go to Settings → Device Care (or Device Care and Battery) > Scroll to the bottom → Maintenance Mode > Disable “Create log” (Crucial! Otherwise, you cannot enter Download Mode) and then tap on Start. The S26 Ultra will restart and enter Maintenance Mode.

After that, Power off the device normally while in Maintenance Mode and then, simultaneously press and hold Volume Up + Volume Down. Make sure you are holding the buttons, then connect the phone to a computer using a USB cable. Once the warning screen appears → Release the buttons.

Press Volume Up to confirm → Enter the blue Download Mode (Odin) screen. To exit the Download Mode, press and hold the Power button for over 10 seconds to force a restart. Alternatively, press and hold Power + Volume Down to restart.

And that is it – how to enter and exit the Download Mode on the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra.
