Philz Custom Recovery is now available for the Sony Xperia E1. To install it on your android phone, you will require unlocked bootloader. You will also need to have particular kernel of your phone model. For instance, Xperia E1 D2005 20.1.A.0.47, Xperia E1 D2105 20.1.B.2.15 and Xperia E1 Dual TV D2114 20.1.B.0.65 have different kernels.

1. Download the kernels and extract zip to somewhere on your computer. Place img in the directory of fastboot.exe
2. Connect your phone in fastboot mode press vol + button while connecting to USB
3. Flash via fastboot. Then to enter into recovery press vol+ button once when green led appears.

Xperia E1: Remove Bloatware and Improve Performance

Someone at XDA has been able to find all the bloatware on the Sony Xperia E1 and has made a zip fole that removes all the bloatware apps that are using space and eating RAM. This script removes 100 bloatware total and it also removes APK and ODEX files. This means more speed and battery life. Bootimes are also said to have decreased a lot.

There are four De bloating scripts. Use them with philz recovery for Xperia E1 and flash the zip in CWM.

E1KKDebloater.zip — This will remove everything that is useless, such as Sony apps, services, pre-installed Bloatware (exclude File Commander), System apps
E1KKSonyRemover.zip — This will only remove pre-installed Sony apps (Walkman, Album, Select, Longue, etc..)
E1KKJunkRemover.zip — This will only remove junk apps (exclude many Sony apps), but will not touch Android System’s apps
E1KKEraser.zip — This will remove EVERYTHING, You will only have Messaging, Dialer, GPS. Pretty much a heavily slimmed down Android

Check your version first. If you are on 20.1.A.0.47 you can root it just by simply installing towelroot from here. However if you are on 20.1.A.2.12 or 20.1.A.2.13 or 20.1.A.2.14, then follow these steps.

1.Start FlashTool. If you do not have it on your computer, download it from here.
2. Download (link) and put the firmware that you downloaded into C:/Flashtool/firmwares
3. Click the flash icon on top left
4. Select flashmode and select the downloaded firmware
5. On top right you will have two boxex: CACHE and DATA (you can untick them if you don`t want to lose any data)
6. Down right you have some boxes, untick everything except KERNEL
7. Select flash
8. Hold the volume down button while connecting to the computer
9. Wait
10. Unplug your phone, install Towelroot from the link above and you will get root on your Sony Xperia E1.

Now that you have root on your Xperia E1, it is time to install the custom recovery so that you can perform all those hacks. Turn on USB debugging on your phone and download bootstrap alpha and extract it to your computer. Connect your phone to the computer and run the install.bat file. Wait for 20 seconds and you will see that your phone reboots.

Wait until you see blue LED. When you see it, press the volume down button three times to get into custom recovery.

Samsung 850 Pro SSD 2TB variant launched

Samsung has announced the inclusion of 2TB variant for Samsung 850 Pro and Evo SSDs. Thanks to their V-chip NAND memory ( NAND 3D Vertical ), Samsung’s product line now features 20 different models with capacities ranging from 120 GB to 2 TB.
