A full fledge Deodexed ROM for Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is available for download. The ROM is build on the N915KKTU1BOC2 and is pre rooted. There is no Samsung Bloatware on this Note Edge ROM so you would not find any Samsung applications on it.

Install Deodexed Note Edge ROM

To install it, make a back up of current data. Make sure you on the latest stock firmware which is v5.0.1. Then root your note edge and install CWM recovery. Go into recovery (power button + volume up) and do a full wipe. Then format the system by going into “mounts and storage” > “format system”. Download and put the deodexed Note Edge ROM into the SD card. Install it by going into recovery. Reboot when it installed.

There is a bug in ROM that Internet does not work out of box. Fortunately the fix is easy. Take any phone with hotspot capability and turn its 4g / 3g off. Then turn on hotspot on it and connect your Note Edge to it. Turn it off and connect to your local Wi-Fi.

There is a new XDA ROM available for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo that allows you to enjoy AOSP with Touch Wiz. The ROM was is based on stock N7505XXUCNH1 and its kernel is from a french firmware. It comes with Aroma installer and is pre rooted as well. There is no Samsung crap on it.

So you will not find Shealth, svoice, s planner, scloud, stranslator, my magazine, Samsung apps, gallery, stock camera, stock mms app, stock browser, stock music app, evernote, flipboard and easy mode. The samsung keyboard is replaced with google keyboard and the developer has added Keep, google camera, google calendar, google launcher and google geniewidget which are actually useful for the end user.

It is knox free and the stock Calculator, Setup wizard, clock and sound recorder are replaced with AOSP ones.

Installation instructions.

1. Make sure you have your n7505 rooted on stock rom and with latest TWRP installed
2. Download and install the rom from here.
3. Swipe and follow the installer instructions
4. Click reboot and enjoy the rom

Inctel has launched its first mini PC that features broadwell fanless processors. Specifications include Intel Core i7 5500U dual core 14nm processor that can run at 2.4 GHz clock speed and supports turbo boost speed of 3GHz. The CPU is accompanied by Intel HD 5500 graphics that run at 950 MHz under turbo boost mode.

The entire chip consumes very little power – spec sheet says it eats mere 15 watts when in use. On the front, the Inctel has power button, LED status, four USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, SD card reader, headphone jack and microphone.

On the rear, you will find two wireless LAN antennas, two COM ports, two Gigabit Ethernet ports, two HDMI 1.4 outputs video and power connector. It can be purchased for $ 495 from the official Inctel online store. The price includes shipping via DHL.

Dell Venue Pro 11 is going to be first laptop to be equipped with USB Type-C port which is the same one that was made its debut in the Macbook 12 inch 2015 model and Chromebook Pixel. The new USB replaces a wide range of interfaces acting as power connector, HDMI and Display Port. However you must buy a adapter for each if your current peripheral does not uses USB-C port. Using this new USB port, you will be able to charge your device, connect it to a monitor, storage or other external devices.

The new model will be released in September and will come pre loaded with windows 10 operating system, Intel Atom X5 / Atom X7 processor, 3D real sense room and reversible USB-C port.  

The current gen Dell Venue Pro 11 features Atom Bay trail processor and windows 8.1 pro and we feel the upcoming model will pack a lot more than just being a minor update with processor update.

This is a case review of Scout case for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and it for the Urban Armor Gear. I picked this up few days ago and have been using it since then. UAG cases normally has good reviews and this one is no exception. I bought the Urban Armor Scout Note 3 case from Urban Armor’s website. The case retails for $ 34.95 and that includes free shipping via USPS.

The packaging is really good. UAG makes a lot of cases for lot of different phones so they have same packaging for iPhones, HTC phones and Samsung phones. The packaging includes a screen protector, cleaning cloth and the case.

Made of high quality TPU

The UAG Scout is made from TPU on the inside. For those who do not know about TPU – it is not cheap silicon that you find in most cheap cases. Such cases pick up dirt easily and look really bad after few days of use.

On the outside, there is hard plastic with a big UAG logo which looks pretty cool. The detail on this case is really remarkable. The fake rivets gives it a rugged look.

On the sides, there are honeycomb cutouts and it will give you just enough grip to hold on to the phone. The cutouts are really nice. Sleep / power and volume buttons are covered. Buttons are not stiff and make clicky sound which is nice.

A lot of people think that is a UAG Scout is a two piece case but it is not. It is all fused together into one solid piece. All you have to do is take your phone and guide it into the case.

Rugged protection

It adds extra protection on the sides. So if you drop from, say like 6 or 7 feet, it will protect the display from getting scratched or messed up. There is a little lip on the corners of back side that protects the camera, back of the case from getting scratched.

Verdict

The UAG Scout for Galaxy Note 3 does not add a lot of bulk. I have medium hands and I have no problem in gripping this case. It is a great case and does not cost a lot of money. Feel free to check out UAG case collection at urbanarmorgear.com

VIA High DS 2 is a new Android Mini PC for the new digital age. VIA High DS 2 specifications include a VIA Elite E1000 CPU based on Cortex A9 architecture, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It will go on sale online at a price of $ 195.

VIA High DS 2 has fanless design and is very compact. It is very powerful too as it can handle a second screen and play 4K content simultaneously. It comes equipped with dual core VIA Elite E1000 1 GHz processor based on Cortex A9 SoC that delivers high 2D and 3D performance with support for hardware acceleration and support for Open GL ES 3.0 standards.

Ports selection of VIA High DS 2 includes two HDMI ports, two USB 2.0, two mini USB 2.0, 10/100 Ethernet, audio jack and SD card slot to expand the internal storage. It runs Android 4.3 and will retail for 195 dollars.

Italy is not very well know for its computer industry and OnePC is looking forward to change that. OnePC is an Italian based desktop vendor that also makes laptops and all in one computers. It has launched a new product in the market called OnePC Cube which looks like a small speaker box. However OnePC Cube specifications do not disappoint the geeks as the vendor is offering it with Linux operating system.

To install it, place the ROM into the root folder and flash using CWM or TWRP for Note 3 neo. Flashing will take a while and soon your system will boot up.

Artas182x has released Note 3 Neo kernel that allows you to easily underclock or overclock the device. It is compatible with all kitkat 4.4.4 firmware. To flash this custom kernel for Note 3 Neo, you will need custom recovery pre installed on your device.

To flash follow these instructions:

1. Download the custom kernel from here.

It shall be noted that your warranty will be voided after flashing Note 3 Neo TWRP or Note 3 Neo CWM. It will also increase your knox counter. CWM is only meant to be used in dual SIM  variant which is N7502.

CWM Note 3 Neo installation instructions

STEP 1 :
– Download and setup ADB drivers for your device

STEP 2 :
– Download the recovery from links given on the top.
– Download odin 3 Link
– Turn of your device and go to odin mode [ Vol down + power + home button (all at the same time) ] release it when you see Note Neo logo
– Press vol up to confirm
STEP 3 :
– Now that you are in odin mode connect your device via usb cable !
– Now open Odin3 3.09 that you have downloaded.
– If there is a pop-up like Installing ADB drivers let it get finished it is usually updates.
– Make sure the COM : xx (xx is usb port number it can be any number so don’t worry about it,just verify COM is lit up)
– Select the recovery (Link in STEP 2) ! Now select AP and browse to where you have .tar file and select it
MAKE SURE U UNTICK THE AUTO-REBOOT BUTTON
– Click Start

Root Note 3 Neo

-Download SuperSu (obviously the latest one) from here ——> Click here
– Copy that to internal sd card
– Power off your device and press vol up + power + home button (all at once) – Select install zip from sdcard —>choose zip from sdcard —> scroll down and flash UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.xx.zip
