The Fujitsu launched Lifebook E554 and E544 back in June but back then it was exclusive to only Japanese market. Today it has made its way to Europe and our friends at notebook Italia were able to do a live review of it in Milan. They mention that the two laptops are distinguishable by only the size of their displays with Fujitsu Lifebook E554 featuring a display size of 15.6 inches and Fujitsu Lifebook E544 having a screen size of 14 inches.

Fujitsu Lifebook E554 specifications and price

The E554 comes with a Intel Core i3-4000M 2.4 GHz, 2.5 GHz Core i3-4100M, i5-4210M 2.6 GHz, 2.7 GHz i5-4310M or Core i7-4712MQ 2.3 GHz processor, up to 16 gigabytes of memory, 320GB 5400rpm, 500GB 7200rpm of hard disk storage or 128 / 256 GB solid state drive storage. For connectivity you get 3x USB 3.0 ports, VGA, display port, headphone and microphone jacks. You also get RJ-45 for Ethernet, serial port which is very useful in the field jobs, an SD card reader and a Kensington lock for security.

It measures 374 x 250 x 24.2 / 31.4 mm, weighs 2.2 pounds and has a screen size of 15.6 inches with contrast ratio of 350: 1 and brightness of 200 cd / m2. The optional full HD panel has contract ratio of 700: 1 and brightness 220 cd / m2.

The Fujitsu Lifebook E554 is now on sale for 900 euro.

E544 specs and pricing details

As mentioned earlier the Fujitsu Lifebook E544 has slightly smaller 14 inch display that is offered with either HD panel packing 1366 x 768 resolution or HD+ panel that has 1600 x 900 pixels. The contrast ratio and brightness levels of both are 350: 1 / 200 cd / m2 and 400: 1 / 250 cd / m2 respectively. Rest of the specifications are identical to the E554. It will go on sale for 700 euro in Europe.

The RAM, hard disk and battery packs are easily user replaceable on both Fujitsu Lifebook E554 and E544 laptops.

If you have installed CWM and rooted your Moto X 2014 smartphone, you have already unlocked your device’s bootloader. You must also be getting unlocked boot loader warning message. To remove it you can override it with the one that hides it.

To do that follow these steps:

First download the logo.zip file from here. Then flash it using ADB:

fastboot flash logo logo.bin

We flashed it and it worked perfectly on our Moto X 2014 phone. Please try it on your own risk and if you do not have any idea of what the above command does, simply do not even try it on your phone.

We know the warning message irritates you but if you have no idea what the ADB is, then you should not be typing those commands in the CMD prompt.

Like other Motorola android phones it is very easy to install recovery into the Moto X as well as root it. Some one at XDA has made a one click recovery flasher that will allow you to gain root easily. This tool will push the Super SU update’s ZIP file to your phone’s internal storage.

After that you can simply flash the CWM beta and then SU.zip file to get root. When rebooting into fastboot, give it 30 seconds to a minute to allow fastboot drivers to properly install before hitting enter.

Instructions: download and unzip file on desktop. Open tool folder and click bat file. Start with option 1. Its ugly but it works great.

The official WP 8.1.1 update for Ativ S released by Samsung. You need to be on official GDR3 to receive this update. To get it, open SamWP8 tools > Tweak > region to “000-AT”. Then check for updates on your phone (Settings > “Check for updates”).

Samsung Galaxy Note are magnificent tablets and can pretty much play any video format out of the box. However not all videos that we play on the tablet are compressed which is where encoding of videos comes into play. Encoding a video may sound like a sci-fi topic to some but it is not difficult at all and with the Movavi video converter, it is actually a child’s play. Any one can compress a video using it.

If you compress, let us say a DVD file to an MP4 file you will save a lot of storage on your Galaxy Note tablet. To use the Movavi video converter you must first download it from its website and install it on your computer. Installation is very straight forward and you will be able to use it within few minutes. Click on the Add video button to browse and choose the files you want to compress for your Samsung Galaxy Note tablet. It must be noted that the Movavi video converter is capable of handling more than one video at a time. In fact it can batch process your entire uncompressed video collection so feel free to select one video.

Now you will be asked to select the video format you want to encode it. Since you are using a Samsung Note tablet, we suggest using MP4 format. Of course you can choose FLV, AVI or WMV too but for best results choose MP4. In the next steps you can set your desired output folder. It is in this folder the converted files will be saved after compression. If you do not select one, all the converted files will go into your computer’s default video folder.

The application lets you select bitrate too and lowering the bitrate will reduce the overall size of the converted file but will reduce the quality too. Similarly increasing the bitrate will increase the size and quality. After everything is set, feel free to start the conversion process by clicking on the Convert button. The algorithms used by Movavi video converter are very fine tuned which result in quick video conversion.

Very soon the conversion process will be complete and the output folder will open. This is the same folder that you selected as the destination folder in previous step. To transfer them to your tablet, connect it to the computer using USB cable and copy the converted video files into the Video folder.
