Gigaset has released QV830 and QV1030 at the CeBIT 2014 technology event. Both have quad cores processors and run Android 4.2 jelly bean operating system. Many do not know that Gigaset is a German company that is popular for making cordless phones for home and office use.

Shuttle has been making small computers from quite sometime and their latest model is a powerhouse. The Shuttle DS81 measures just 7.4 x 6.5 x 1.7 inches and still has plenty of room for 2 LAN ports, 8 USB ports and a two display ports. And of course as said earlier it features an Intel Haswell processor backed by HD 4600 graphics that can handle full HD displays and 4K ultra HD resolution.
Unlike other Shuttle computers, it is not a very power saving PC. It gobbles up 90 watts of power and it does not features a fanless computer.
Specifications include 6 USB 2.0, 2 USB 3.0, HDMI, 16 gigabytes of memory, 2x display ports, 2.5 inch drive bay, mini PCIe slot, SATA 3, mini PCIe slot and SATA 2 connectors.
The price of Shuttle DS81 is about USB 250 and sold as bare bones device. The mini PC supports Windows 7 as well as Linux operating system.
Users of Samsung Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 in the UK can now download the Android 4.4.2 update today. The KitKat update will be available as an OTA so keep an eye on the notification panel. If you have not received the notification, you should check the settings to download the update manually.
HTC released their mid range Desire 816 phone at the MWC 2014 event in Barcelona, Spain. The phone went up for pre-order in China and report suggested the company received more than 450,000 orders. Now the 816 is all set to hit the UK shores as HTC UK’s twitter account has posted an image of it highlighting some of its features.
While there is no word on its availability, HTC will be shedding more light on it at its scheduled event on March 25. Phone seller Clove has mentioned on its blog that they will be one of the first in UK to sell Desire 816. However they have not mentioned a price tag on the pre-order page. Germany’s Amazon site has it up for pre-order for EUR 379. Its specifications include a big 5.5 inch display, Quad core snapdragon 400 SoC, 1.5 GB RAM, 13 mega pixel camera and Android 4.4 Kitkat operating system.
While there is still no confirmation on its availability in UK, we are pretty confident that at least Clove will be offering it.
Samsung has announced that it has started mass production of 4 gigabyte DDR3 RAM using most advanced 20 nanometer process. SRAM miniaturization is more difficult than NAND memory as DRAM cells require both capacitor and transistor linked to another capacitor while the NAND require just the transistor.

MSI GS60 and GS60 Ghost Pro are two gaming laptops that were recently launched at the CeBIT 2014 event. The company also launched GT60 and GT70 Dominator Pro at the occasion too and like their names suggest, they are very identical to their respective Ghost Pro models.
The two notebooks will replace the current models of the same family and add Nvidia GeForce 800M to the table. GT60 and GT0 Dominator Pro feature the very powerful NVIDIA GeForce GTX 880M (in the Dominator Pro series) and a GeForce GTX 870M (in the Dominator series) GPU.
Both feature Intel Core i7 4930MX Extreme quad core processor clocked at 3 GHz backed by 32 gigabytes of RAM. You can configure two mSATA SSDs in super RAID configuration where you can mix a hard drive with two SSDs or two HDDs with one solid state drive. Or you can go for the dual hybrid configuration where the third bay would be accommodated by Blu ray drive.
GT60 has 15.6 inch display while the GT70 features a bigger 17.3 inch screen. GT60 will pack 3K 2880×1620 pixel resolution while the GT70 users will have to satisfy themselves with FHD 1920×1080 resolution.
MSI GT60 and GT70 Dominator Pro are already available for pre-order in the U.S. for about 2300-2200 dollars.
