Chi has launched a new 7 inch Android tablet with built in 3G calling in the market. Called the Chi VX1, it has notably better design and hardware configuration compared to the its previous models, V99X and V88. The Chi VX1 specs include a powerful MediaTek MT8382 quad-core CPU, and is manufactured using 28nm process. It has frequency of up to 1.3GHz, and has integrated 3G, GPS, FM, Wi-Fi, BT modules.
This new MediaTek processor abandons the use of PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU and instead uses ARM Mali graphics chip, Mali-400MP. PowerVR SGX 544MP runs at 286-357MHz, while the Mali GPU runs at 533MHz.

Compared to its predecessors, VX1 has a narrower frame design. The border is only 5mm, and body thickness measures 7.9mm. It has 178 ° viewing angles and refresh rate is ideal for video watching. 1280 × 800 screen resolution makes its IPS + OGS display look very sharp.

The tablet supports both 3G, 2G mobile networks and has full support for dual SIM stand by as well. Supported bands include 850/1900/2100 and 850/900/1800/1900.
VX1 has optimized GPS navigation system, and we have been told it is very accurate.
Acer will be launching an Android based tablet by the first quarter of the year. Powered by an Intel Atom processor, 1 GB RAM, it has a 7.9 inch, a 1024 x 768 pixel display.

After churning out the first Firefox phone, Foxconn is all set to make the first Firefox OS tablet, InFocus New tab F1 in the market. Powered by 1GHz A31 (ARM Cortex A7) quad-core processor and PowerVR SGX544MP2 GPU, it comes with 2 gigabytes of DDR3 RAM, 16 GB of flash storage, micro SD card expansion, micro USB port, and a large battery with a capacity of 7000 mAh.

So, while the specifications are not groundbreaking, the Foxconn Firefox OS Quad Core Tablet runs the OS just fine as it is a fairly lightweight operating system.
Display size of InFocus New tab F1 is 10.1 inches packing 1280×800, which is just fine for a budget tablet. Since the specifications are not that high, its 7000 mAh battery will yield great battery life.
Asus is all set to launch a mini-desktop featuring Intel’s Bay Trail processor, NVIDIA Graphic card, Bluetooth, Ethernet, HDMI, WiFi support. The unit is priced at $364.

The Samsung Grand Neo is a lean dual SIM Smartphone which offers a 5.01 inch TFT display with WVGA (800 X 480 pixel) resolution and 1 GB RAM. The 4.2 Jelly Bean Android OS operates upon unspecified 1.2 Ghz quad core processor. The 2,100 mAh battery can run up to 8 hours on 3G, and 10 hours on Wi-Fi. It offers 16 GB of internal memory (expandable up to 64 GB via mircoSD card). The Smartphone weights 163 grams.

Shortly after the launch of Acer Iconia W4, Acer is up with W4-821 variant. The tablet provides UMTS for connectivity, making it first of its kind.

Lenovo came up with its low cost Windows 8 tablet. ThinkPad 8 runs on a quad-core 2.4Ghz Intel Atom Z3770 processor. The 64 GB variant is priced at $429, while the 32 GB variant at $399. Lenovo will also offer 128 GB variant in future. The tablet comes with 8.3 inch screen, 1920 X 1200 pixel display, 2 GB RAM, and battery which runs up to 8 hours. The tablet has stereo speakers, a microSD slot, a micro USB 3.0 port, and a micro HDMI port. It weight around 425 grams.

Samsung presented its Galaxy Note 3 Neo phablet, without disclosing the price. Unveiled in Poland, it will hit the global market in February with two variants: a 3G and an LTE model. Customers have three color options – Black, Green, and White. The Galaxy Note 3 Neo comes with S Pen stylus. Both the variants have near identical specifications, except for 3G model, which runs on a 1.6GHz quad-core. The LTE variant is powered by a hexa-core processor composed of two 1.7GHz Cortex A15 and four 1.3GHz quad-core Cortex A7. The Galaxy Note 3 Neo runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI layer on top.

We reviewed the Kiano Elegance 9.7 3G in December 2013 and we loved the fact that it came with Android 4.2 jelly bean operating system pre loaded which ensured fluid user interface.
