Resco Keyboard updated [Windows Mobile]

Resco has updated their software, Resco Keyboard to version 5.20. Here are the list of features that are new in this release:

  • Widescreen support (Support for widescreen devices)
  • Keyboard tactile feedback for supported devices
  • More language layouts added

Resco, a supplier of Windows phone applications, releases a new version of Resco Keyboard Pro, a highly popular application removing all the limits of standard built-in keyboard.

Since version 5.0, Resco Keyboard Pro is literally a handy multi-skin and according to statistics the most popular keyboard application for Windows Mobile devices. It supports more than 20 language layouts with option to use 2 languages simultaneously.

The Touch technology made enormous break-through into mobility. The touch supported mobile device control is natural, comfortable, and trendy. Besides, it makes the overall device control much easier. Resco Keyboard Pro design was based on these facts. Therefore, Resco tends to utilize the strengths of touch technology as much as possible and this software is no exception.

Iriver D50N MID teaser site now online

iriver D50N handheld/mid/e-dictionary/(whatever you may want to call it) is soon going to land in Korea. It comes with a respectable 800×480 resolution 4.8-inch display and 16GB internal memory. For connectivity, it comes with built in WiFi and for expansion, a microSD slot. Battery life is also pretty good with 16 hours of music playback or 8 hours of video.

The price of the D50N is going to be around $370 although its release date for US is not yet known.

Wistron Firstbook Netbook runs linux

SONY VAIO P look-alikes are on fire now. The Wistron Firstbook is a Linux based netbook, which looks a lot like the VAIO P. It is a powerful machine with built-in 3G and 11.1-inch widescreen with Bluetooth and WiFi. It is running on the Snapdragon platform, which is also being used by Toshiba’s TG01, a windows mobile device. The Snapgradon consumes much less power as compared to the Atom processor, but it is also less capable than the Atom.

Samsung Propel Pro now on sale in US

There are very few Windows Mobile devices that come with front-facing keyboard and Samsung Propel Pro is one of them. Unlike most Windows Mobile devices, it comes with non-touchscreen edition of Windows Mobile (Windows Mobile Standard). It comes with zippy 528MHz processor and 3MP auto-focus camera that should take decent pictures.

Fring for Windows Mobile now available with extended Twitter support

Fring for Windows Mobile already has twitter support. But, now it allows you check out the profiles of other twitters and also see who all are following you.

There are two ways to get your hands on the new Twitter 2.0 Add-on…  If you have a Windows Mobile, just go to the Add-ons tab inside fring, unsubscribe from the old Twitter & re-subscribe to the new Add-on. And if you’re a Symbian handset owner, simply download the new fring version 3.37 first, unsubscribe from the old Twitter & re-subscribe to the new Add-on.

MSI Wind U123 to be available in Japan in a couple of weeks

akihabaranews is reporting that the MSI WIND U123 will made available in Japan within two weeks from now. Wind U123 is very capable netbook that comes with an Atom N280 CPU (1.66GHz) on a 945GSE+ICH7M Chipset. Other specs includes a 10” WSVGA LCD, 1GB of RAM (Max 2), 160GB of HDD, Wifi N, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, SDHC-capable SD card slot and web camera.

It will be made available in Japan and will cost 49,800 Yen ($490).

The Verizon Subsidized Netbook is – HP Mini 1000

There were several rumors about the Verizon Wireless Netbook, but now it is confirmed that it would be the HP Mini 1000. This device was listed that will be released via Verizon’s data service package. There is currently no information about its price, but it looks like it would be $99/month to compete with the Aspire One netbook plan by AT&T.
