The Medion Lifetab S7852 is finally available from Aldi stores for EUR 149. This is a pretty amazing price tag for wonderful tablet that looks like iPad Mini. Even though it looks very much like an iPad Mini, it is much more affordable thanks to its EUR 149 price tag.

At MWC we heard it would be launched at EUR 199 and with that price tag it would have been very difficult to penetrate the market.

Last year Huawei released P6 and this year they have come up with a new model called Huawei P7 which really does not look much different from its predecessor – that is not a bad thing at all.

Compared to its previous model the Huawei P7 has repositioned front camera and power button. Improvement in build quality is also there as the company has used improved materials. Also it now comes with Gorilla glass that gives better protection against scratches.

Taiwanese tablet manufacture ECS Elitegroup has churned out a 10 inch tablet i-Buddie TA10TA2 that is based on Intel Atom “Bay Trail” platform. Another Taiwanese company Acer has also been rapidly adapting the new Bay trail Atom processors in its latest Windows 8.1 and Android tablets.

Here are the instructions on how to root the Samsung galaxy note 2014 10.1 LTE edition

Rooting Instructions for Note 10.1 (2014 edition)

1.Boot into Download mode. Do this by turning Off Tablet. Then, hold Volume Down + Power. Follow the instructions on the screen
2.Flash autorootp600mj4.tar.md5 with Odin v3.09 (put in AP slot, don’t change any other settings, click start)
3.Let it do its trick. Confirm root.
4.Reboot into download mode again and flash the stock mj4 recovery provided

That is it you have finally rooted the Note 2014 tablet. If you followed the steps correctly it should not take more than 30 seconds to root it.  All credits go to Chainfire for coming up with AutoRoot and for his SuperSU App.

After the root, you must freeze the all six Knox 1.0 apps (both of them) and the KLMS Agent 1.0 (com.samsung.klmsagent). Otherwise you will get security warnings.

A new eBook reader has been launched called Papyre 630 and is already on sale in Spain with a price tag of 117 Euros. Supported ebook formats include Epub, FB2, PDF and many more. There is no mention of support for audio books and office documents but given its low price tag, we have no reason to complain about it.

The new Asus tablet codenamed K010, K011 and K013 have made their appearance on the WiFi Alliance website’s database. Their record shows that the tablets come with 10, 8 and 7 inch displays respectively.

We already know that Asus is in the process of updating its range of Android tablets and we already have information on Asus TF103C and TF303 which are two new tablets that will be making their way to market shelves soon. According to the database, all new models will have IPS display and packs resolution of 1280×800 pixels. The operating system is Android 4.4 Kitkat.

Given the leaked specifications, it is safe to assume that it will act as the successor to the Asus MemoPad.

Acer has launched three new models of its Iconia W4 windows 8 tablets. First is the W4-820P NT.L3GEG.001 that has 32 gigabytes storage. Second is the 64GB variant of the same bearing the model number W4-820P NT.L3GEG.002. Asus is working on another Transformer tablet called TF103C that is powered by quad core Intel bay trail-t Atom Z3745 processor. As it is a Transformer, it is safe to assume that it runs Android.

Pricing details are already available as one of the Swiss shops is already offering it for 353.66 Swiss Francs that rounds to USD 403.

The upcoming Overmax Quattor 7 II has been spotted on allegro.pl and asking price was 380 ZLN that rounds about to USD 125. Specifications include quad core Cortex A7 processor 1.5 GHz, PowerVR SGX544 GPU and 1 gigabyte of RAM.

For storage you get 16GB of flash storage that is upgradable to 32GB via micro SD card slot.

The screen measures 7 inches and makes use of IPS technology packing 1024×600 pixel resolution. The Overmax Quattor 7 II comes with Android 4.4 kitkat operating system onboard.

There are two cameras on it – 2 megapixel camera on back and 0.3MP on front. For wireless communications, you get 802.11n Wi-Fi, micro USB port and mini HDMI jack. Battery capacity is 2800 mAh. It will be released to the market by the end of March.
