AllWinner A33 is the latest processor that is made specially for the low cost tablets running Android operating system. The CPU was launched officially at the Computex 2014 technology event. However since the CPU is going to be so cheap, do not expect cutting edge technology. The Allwinner A33 been manufactured using 28-nanometer process technology and consists of four cores based on ARM Cortex-A7 architecture.

Maximum resolution supported is just 1280×800 pixels which is good enough for budget tablets. Graphics are handled by the dual-core Mali-400MP2.

We have been told that that the Allwinner A33 will be handle video playback at a maximum resolution of Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels). You will also be able to record them in the same resolution at sixty frames per second. The first tablet equipped with this system-on-chip will be launched in July this year.

Winstron Tiger has released a gigantic windows phone handset with a 6.45 inch display. It packs full HD 1920×1080 pixel resolution and is powered by Snapdragon 800 quad core processor. There are two front facing stereo speakers on it and its entire chassis is made of metal. The Winstron Tiger will come pre loaded with windows phone 8.1 operating system and is even bigger than the biggest Lumia out there, the 1520 that comes with a whopping 6 inch screen.

In the video you can see that there are no hardware buttons for the back, start and search. Instead you get on screen buttons that you find on the cheap Lumia 630 dual SIM handset.

HP Elitebook 720, 740 and 750 are three new Intel powered laptops that share same designs as the 700 series notebooks with AMD Kaveri chips. The new ones are mere Intel CPUs and few small differences. First is the HP Elitebook 720 and it comes with 12.5 inch display, HD resolution which HP calls HD premium display. It has IPS technology and thus wide viewing angles. Touchscreen model is also up for sale. The 720 weighs just 2.94 pounds which makes it ounce lighter than Elitebook 725.

The HP Elitebook 740 has bigger 14 inch display and comes with choice of 1366×768 pixel HD resolution, HD+ or FHD resolution screens. One with touchscreen panel is also available.

The largest of all is HP Elitebook 750 and like the rest two models, it will be made available with HD, full HD, or full HD touchscreen displays.

All will hit the market shelves in the month of August and by that time we will have more detailed specifications of Elitebook 720, 740 and 750.

It does not matter whether it makes sense or not but it will surely turn some heads and raise some eyebrows. Meet the ASUS Transformer Book V that is a 3 in 1 device. It can do a duty of a phone, tablet and a laptop. The phone runs Android operating system but its tablet part can dual boot between Android and Windows operating system. This allows the user to use the keyboard dock to use it as conventional windows laptop.

It has 12.5 inch display and packs 1280×720 pixels. The keyboard dock not only packs a physical keyboard but also 1TB hard disk drive. According to engadget it will take some time for Asus to release the Transformer Book V. Personally we are extremely curious to see how everything will work.  It is said to have 10 hour battery life thanks to massive 28Wh capacity. There are two cameras on the phone – 8MP in the rear and 2 MP on the front. Unlike other Transformer tableta we have come across, it does not have a built in battery.

HP has now refreshed its HP Split X2 2 in one ultrabook. The new model will come with a choice of Bay Trail, Core i3, and Core i5 processors. The price tag for the lowest end Bay trail model is 600 US dollars. Other specs include 500GB of hard disk storage and up to 8 gigabytes of RAM.

The tablet part measures just 0.5 inch thick or shall we say, thin and when you attach that keyboard attachment, the total thickness increases to total of 0.9 inches. The keyboard dock is equipped with an extra battery that will extend battery life runtimes as well.

Since the entire laptop has fanless design, you will have no hot laps when using it in laptop mode for prolonged durations. The laptop will be made available in United States in late June.

Microsoft Malaysia has launched the budget-centric Nokia Lumia 630 in Malaysia for RM 549 (USD 170). The new phone was launched in Kuala Lumpur last week. What makes this phone so special is its quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and ability to expand storage to up to 128GB by using a SDXC card. It is also the first phone locally to come with the latest Windows 8.1 operating system.
