Asus is working on another Lenovo Yoga style convertible laptop called the TL300L. Back in May it was spotted on FCC website and that really did not reveal any of its specifications. Well how we have them and it will have Intel Haswell CPU and Nvidia GPU.

So yes there will be a dedicated GPU to handle all those heavy graphics. Few days back we spotted the Asus TP500L which is basically a 15” version of TP300L. This means the company is all set to release a slew of Yoga style laptops in coming months.

We have spotted the another Transformer laptop tablet hybrid on FCC website. Called the Asus TP500L, the machine will allow you to use the device as both tablet and typical laptop.

The machine will come with a compact power adapter. There is no word how much this 2 in 1 machine will cost. 

Asus is working on a new series of 2 in 1 laptop tablet hybrid models with big displays. Right now the company offers two Transformer Book models that can do the double duty of both laptop and tablet.

Those models let you push the touch screen panel back 360 degrees in such a way that it is back to back with the key board for use in tablet mode. The two models we are talking about are Asus TP300L and 15 incher Asus N542L.

If you are finding the new hybrids a tiny bit too expensive, consider taking a look at taking a look at the Medion Akoya P2211T. It retails for just EUR 480 and that includes a keyboard dock with 1 TB of hard disk. The tablet is driven by Intel Celeron N2920 quad-core processor that hums at 1.86 GHz and backed by beefy 4 gigabytes of RAM.

We were able to spend some time with the Medion Akoya P2211T (MD98706) and were impressed with its performance. The screen measures 11.6 inches and packs 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution which is excellent for a bargain tablet like this one. It shall be noted that the tablet part has only 64 GB of flash storage.

The US company Hewlett Packard has released HP Pro x2 410 a hybrid computer equipped with an Intel Core fourth generation CPU, Windows 8.1, and a display with a diagonal size of 11.6 inches. Since the resolution is not ground breaking, pixel density is just 150 PPI. However it is good enough for watching football or any live video using DVB-T stick. 

The Intel processor is clocked at 2GHz per core and yields excellent performance. 1GB RAM ensures that system applications run fine. It shall be noted that there is no GPS radio on board.

It has aluminum back and thus has a premium touch to it. There are two front speakers for sound output and Android 4.2.2 jelly bean operating system.

Asus Transformer Book T200TA is the second generation convertible laptop that will replace the popular T100 computer. Like its predecessor, it will run Windows 8.1 operating system and its launch will take place in June.

We also have its pricing details thanks to its listing over Swiss websites that suggest it will cost 560 dollars (499 Swiss francs). According to the details about T200 leaked earlier the T200TA will be powered by latest quad core Intel Atom Z3775 processor and backed by 2 gigabytes of RAM.

Coolpad 8971 is the latest offering from Android’s stable offering a massive 5.9 inch screen and latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor that is even more powerful than Snapdragon 800 CPU.

An unknown tablet called Nvidia Mocha has made its appearance on GFXbench website. It has absolute high end specifications and runs Android operating system that make it a perfect contender for Apple iPad Mini with retina display. It is not currently known whether Nvidia will offer this model publically or will allow manufactures to sell it under different name as it did in the case of Nvidia Shield.

GFXbench benchmark website reveals that Mocha got 1773 frames (28.7 FPS) in 1080p Manhatten off screen test. Apple iPad Mini retina model on the other hand got 803 frames (13 FPS) in the same test.

In Manhatten test, Mocha got 1020 frames (16.5 FPS) while the iPad Mini retina got 544 Frames (8.8 FPS).

In 1080p t-rex off screen, Nvidia got 3308 frames (59.1 FPS) while the Apple tablet got 1464 frames (26.1 FPS).

Even though Windows Phone 8.1 developer preview was released earlier last month, Huawei Ascend W1 were not able to update to the new OS because of firmware / driver issues. In fact, there was enough of a chance that it would brick phones for MS to stop its deployment till the problem could be fixed.

An XDA user has made a tutorial on how to get WP8.1 on the Huawei Ascend W1. All the steps are mentioned in this XDA thread. Basically you will need to install Qualcomm driver, followed by its I/O driver and support tool. After that you will be putting custom bootloader onboard to get WP8.1 up and running.

The developer was kind enough to make an easy-to-use video as well.

The HP Pro Tablet 610 G1 is a new 10.1 inch Windows 8.1 business tablet. It is technically based on HP ProPad 600 and we believe that it is just a European variant of it.  Interestingly, this Windows 8.1 tablet is so far listed only with 64-bit operating system and 4 GB of RAM.

There is no word if HP has equipped it with USB 3.0 ports. At 652 grams the HP Pro Tablet 610 G1 is not a light tablet by any means but given its beefy specifications we will take it over an iPad any day. Also at 9.9 mm it is still quite thin.
