Nokia Shuts Down Desti after HERE Acquisition

Nokia Corporation will be shutting down Desti on September 3 2014. Desti has already started issuing notifications to its users about about its permanent shut down, following the closure of deal with Nokia.

The Finnish company acquired the personalized travel planning app in May and said that the Desti app will be closed forever after 90 days.

The users using Desti service should save the schedules and share this news with others to access it later after the app shuts down permanently.

However this is a good new for the HERE Maps/Drive users as Nokia will be incorporating Desti’s technology in HERE location search to make it better and more personalized.

Their technology makes use of natural language processing technology and artificial intelligence to offer information to the travellers on the trips base on their choices. So a user will not have to check the hotels, shops and restaurants before planning the holiday.

IndusInd Bank launches Online Store themorestore.in

IndusInd Bank has launched an exclusive online store for its customers. A website called themorestore.in has been launched to enable customers to redeem their reward points towards purchase of items from an attractive online catalogue as well as purchase attractive merchandise from the site.

This site is similar to Payback.in which was launched by ICICI to allow its customers to redeem reward points.

The MoreStore has three powerful shopping experiences to offer: Redemption, Shopping and Redemption + Shopping.

1. With Redemption, customers can redeem their reward points (across debit and credit cards) against over 200 products listed in the catalogue.

2. With Shopping, customers can shop across categories like lifestyle, health & beauty, gadgets and many more

3. With Redemption + Shopping, they can buy a product from The MoreStore catalogue using their reward points and pay the remaining amount using their Credit Card.

AMD A8-6410 and A6-6310 Beema CPUs Specifications, already being shipped in HP Laptops

Until now the HP was offering the AMD A6-6310 Beema APU in the Pavilion 14z Touch, Pavilion 15z, 17z and 17z Touch laptops. But now the same range of laptops are being offered with AMD A8-6410 which has higher base clock frequency and better GPU than the A6-6310.

The new A8 APU is also being offered in HP 245 G3 and 255 G3 as well. We found it in the quick sheet present on HP’s website.

16GB Apple iPod Touch Priced, Discounts on 32 and 64GB models

Apple is now more serious about its iPod Touch lineup. The company has launched a new 16GB iPod Touch that has built in iSight camera. The new 16GB Apple iPod Touch will now sell for 199 dollars.

The company has also decreased the prices of the 32GB and 64GB models so the prices are down to $249 and $299 respectively.

Other than that nothing has been changed hardware or software wise.

The 16GB iPod Touch used to be sold for $199 which is 30 dollars less than yester year’s model which lacked iSight camera.

ASUS VivoPC VM42 VM62N Specifications, comes with Nvidia GeForce GT 820M

Asus has launched two new mini PCs in the market which are VivoPC VM42 and VM62N. It features polycarbonate shell with aluminium alloy cover that bears concentric circles like the new Zenfone phones.

The cheaper one is VivoPC VM42 that comes with an Intel Celeron chip and up to 16GB of RAM. The graphics are handled by Intel integrated GPU.

Of course the show stopper is the VivoPC VM62N that features Intel Core i3 4030U processor and Nvidia GeForce GT 820M GPU that is perfect for casual gamer who do not pushes all the settings to max.

Original Nokia Lumia 635 630 CC-3079 OEM Back Shell Case Review

The Nokia Lumia 630 allows users to easily change the back shell and since Lumia 635 shares the same chassis you can use the OEM cases for it as well. We recently received the official original CC-3079 accessory from Mobilefun.co.uk. The shipping was excellent and we got the product within 2 days which is mighty fast when you consider the fact that it came all the way from UK.

The orange color is very eye catchy since it has a glossy surface. We love its build quality – very strong and does not flex much.

FIFA 2014 Schedule in IST Indian Standard Time

The world cup starts on June 13 in India and not June 12 as Brazil is about 8 hours behind IST (Indian Standard Time). Three and in some cases four games will be played on a daily basis.

The timing slots are 9:30 pm, 12:30 am and 3:30 am so be prepared for those exciting sleepless nights for the whole month. As mentioned earlier there will be some days when four matches will be played in a day.

Fifa has not provided a 2014 schedule in Indian standard time but we have got you covered.

PocketBook has launched a new ereader in the European market called PocketBook Aqua. The highlight of this gadget is its waterproof casing which will interest all the bookworms who are too scared of sipping liquids when reading their favorite books.
