Pocketbook CAD is a 13 inch eBook reader

Pocketbook released a massive ereader today at an event in Las Vegas, NV. Aimed at architects and AutoDesk CAD lovers, the Pocketbook CAD features a massive 13.3 inch display packing HD+ 1600 x 1200 pixel resolution.

Such pixel density ensures clear text and pictures on its E-ink Mobius display which is also being used in Sony’s digital paper. The PocketBook CAD Reader has a glare-free display that can be read easily in direct sunlight. The dust and waterproof body allows you to use it even under the toughest conditions on the construction site. Powering everything is its 1.2 GHz dual core processor backed by 512 megabytes of memory.

For storage the Pocketbook CAD offers you eight gigabyte of flash storage. This final retail model looks very different from the one that was displayed at the 2013 consumer electronics show. The new design has rubber housing which makes it resistant to scuffs when traveling and working on the field. It is also given polyurethane treatment to prevent accidental slipping.

Samsung Galaxy A3 reviewed in hands on video by HD blog Italy

The Samsung Galaxy A3 is yet to go up for sale online or mortar stores but our good friends at HD blog Italy have already put up a nice hands on review video of it. In the video we get see the phone from all angles and get introduced to the new themes feature that Samsung has introduced with the Galaxy A3 and A5 smartphones.

The A3 phone features couple of pre-loaded themes such as Samsung Basic, Natural and Craft.

From the sides the Galaxy A3 looks very much like the outgoing Apple iPhone 5 and we believe that copying it is not a bad thing for consumers. After all, the iPhone 5 looked more premium than current Gen phones from Apple. See the review video here.

Best way to disable Knox on Note Edge

In this tutorial we will teach you how to disable knox on the Galaxy Note Edge. Well the only way right now is to flash the stock ROM modified by XDA developers which has knox disabled. The ROM is prerooted and deodexed well.

This ROM is pre rooted so there is no need to root it again. This ROM is only for T-Mobile Note Edge 915T. If you are using AT&T SIM on it, here are its APN settings.

Here are the installation instructions:

1) Do a full nandroid first. In fact, do two! Backup using TWRP or CWM.

2) Download the ROM and compare MD5 just to be sure

3) Flash using TWRP or CWM

4) Wipe cache and dalvik

5) Reboot and enjoy

6) If you get a bootloop, I wouldn’t know why. Restore from backup.

7) If you’re on ATT using the T-Mo device (like I am), use the APN settings given above.

Official CWM a k a clock work mod recovery is now available for all models of Note Edge that includes N915S, N9150, N915F, N915G, N915P and N915T. Clockwork mod allows you to do all sorts of amazing mods on your Android phone including the ability to flash and install custom firmwares.

To flash it, download the appropriate version from below and flash using ODIN on your computer. Browse for the file in ODIN and put the phone in download mode. You can do this by pressing volume down + power button together for few seconds until the screen goes black and device restarts.

How to overclock or underclock Galaxy Note Edge

XDA developer user upintheair has released a custom kernel for the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge which allows the users to overclock or under clock their devices. Here are the overclocking and underclocking speeds:

* CPU max frequency A15 cores = 2000 MHz (stock/default = 1900 MHz)
* CPU min frequency A15 cores = 500 MHz (stock/default = 700 MHz)
* CPU max frequency A7 cores = 1500 MHz (stock/default = 1300 MHz)
* CPU min frequency A7 cores = 200 MHz (stock/default = 400 MHz)

You need to be using N915S model (Exynos model) with CWM recovery installed. You should also be rooted.

This kernel supports overclocking and underclocking on only for Note Edge SM-N915S models
