LG and Apple team together for Apple netbook?

Looks like the rumors of Apple netbook are not going to die until the Apple finally release their over-talked about netbook. According to the latest rumor, LG is going to make OLED displays for the Apple’s netbook. The new rumor may not be so true as the last time, when we heard about the Apple netbook, the Quanta was given the contract to make them. So, from where did the LG came into play?

These rumors are surely going to make the Apple think about making a netbook now, incase they have not given a thought about it until now.

Meet the very cheap MID – SmartQ 5 MID

The SmartQ 5 MID from China, costs just $130 (900 Yuan) and runs ARM-based Ubuntu. It has a 4.3-inch display with WVGA (800×480) resolution. The display should be crisp at that resolution. It also comes with built-in BT connectivity and WiFi b/g/a.  It also comes with some pre-installed applications (StarDict dictionary and FBReader ebook reader).

It may not be running the best CPU around, but we should not underestimate ARM-processor, which powers more than 80% of the phones that we use in our daily life. Also, I need not reiterate the fact how less power the ARM processors consume.

Actually, the Vista thrashes the disk even more than the XP making it even less ideal for SSDs.
