An XDA user has churned out a basic, deknoxed and debloated ROM for the Samsung Galaxy Alpha. It is designed to give you smooth, stock feel for bloated Korean variants of the android phone. It will work on the G850S, G850K and G850L.

The ROM is designed to be flashed using CWM and it will change the system files. The developer suggests you to be on stock Android lollipop firmware for best results.

Installation Steps
* Download and copy the ROM to device storage
* Flash TWRP recovery via Odin – Download
* Reboot into recovery mode
* Wipe System/Data/Cache & Dalvik Cache
* Install ROM

Android Marshmallow for Samsung Galaxy Grand Alpha may never be released but folks at XDA have churned out a firmware via its cyanogen mod channels. This brings CM13 aka cyanogenmod 13 to the Galaxy Alpha android phone which is Android 6 Marshmallow. Its developer says a lot of hours were put into this project to iron out the bugs but some may still be there. So be careful.

To install this Cyanogen Mod 13 Galaxy Alpha firmware, you will need to have Galaxy Alpha custom recovery onboard to let you install custom third party firwmares on it.

To install the ROM, you will need to install sboot which is a custom bootloader. Alternatively, you can install LL ROM via Samsung update option. Suggested modem version is: G850FXXU2COK6 or newer.

After that, download the ROM and copy it to a USB drive and use a USB OTG cable to flash the ROM. Keep in mind that this ROM does not come with Gapps but you can easily install them otherwise from opengapps.org.

Motorola has been on a role lately launching two new android phones in India week after week on two of the most popular e-commerce websites out there, amazon.in and flipkart. Today we will be discussing differences between Moto G Play vs Moto E3 Power which were launched on amazon and flipkart respectively.

Moto G Play vs Moto E3 Power

Display: Both feature identical display and size. 5 inches, HD display and identical PPI of 294. Both also have water repellent nano coating. However, Moto G Play adds Gorilla Glass 3 so less prone to scratches and more durable glass.

Installation instructions

* Download ROM and gapps from here and save on your external/internal SD
* Go to Core prime Recovery and make BACKUP of current
* ROM in Backup and Restore option
* Do WIPE DATA/FACTORY
* RESET + MOUNTS & STORAGE/FORMAT SYSTEM
* Choose install zip from and select ROM. Install gapps (google about it) in same fashion. Pico version recommended.
* follow on screen instructions
* Wait some minutes for first boot and after updating ROM
* Done

Installation guide – Make sure you’re using TWRP (Kitkat) or CWM (Kitkat)

1. Download Kitkat Deodexed G360H ROM from here.
2. Place it on the sd card.
3. Reboot on Galaxy Core Prime TWRP/CWM
4. Go to Wipes > advanced wipe > then wipe: Dalvik cache/ System/ Cache/ Data.
5. Go to Mount > disable everything (the update-script mount it for itself)
7. Go to Install > Select the correctly Storage and choose Kitkat_Deodexed_G360H.zip > Swipe to install
8. Wait the installation
9. Reboot
