Both Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy S6 are popular phones but since the Note 4 was released before S6, it did not get improved Galaxy S6 keyboard. Fortunately it was made available for download by custom ROM developers.

Install Samsung Galaxy S6 Keyboard for Note 4

To install the Samsung Galaxy S6 Keyboard for Note 4, download this file and flash it in recovery. To put your Note 4 in recovery mode, hold down volume up + power button. Then browse for the file you downloaded earlier and press power button to flash it. It will only take few seconds for the flashing process to complete.

Then do a reboot. The Galaxy S6 Keyboard is working perfectly on my Galaxy Note 4. It is important to note that you must be on Lollipop to use it.

Get Lumia Interop unlock by installing ROM builder for windows phone

Lumia Interop unlock is now finally possible thanks to excellent talented developers at XDA developers. Previously interop unlock was only limited to Samsung windows phone but finally interop unlock is possible for Lumia branded phones as well. Here are the steps on how to do it.

1. Download this file on your computer and extract it. You will find two files: ROMRebuilder.7z and customWPsystem. Extract ROMRebulder.7z and copy ROMRebuilder.xap file and Data to SD card.
2. Now copy and install CustomWPSystem v0.6 in phone memory.
3. Change year in phone to 2110 and run Extras + info. When you see an error message, tap uninstall button and set actual date.
4. Change installing applications to SD card.
5. Run CustomWPSystem , select Extra + info and tap Download from store.
6. If the application will be installed, go back to CustomWPSystem, tap SD Card permissions and select SD card. Now button should change to green color.
7. Tap Select the XAP , select ROMRebuilder.xap, and tap Apply XAP.
8. When everything will be done successfully, app Extras+info, will be converted to ROM Rebuilder (although the name remains Extras+info). When you have everything installed and ROM Rebuilder waiting for the commands, you need to do a few other important things.
9. Copy Data.bin to Data folder on SD card. To create Data.bin file, follow these steps:

1. Run ROM Rebuilder and tap Backup button. OEMSettings.reg file will be copied to Backup folder on SD card.
2. File OEMSettings.reg is compressed using gzip. You can open it using e.g 7-zip. Inside archive is located one file. Click on it with the right mouse button and select edit.
3. At the bottom add whole content from additional_entries.reg and save the changes.
4. Change name OEMSettings.reg to Data.bin and copy this file to Data folder on SD card.

Finally, you can press Rebuild button in ROM Builder. Whole process will take a little moment. After getting Success message, you need to do Hard Reset on windows phone.

Sony Xreality engine enhances the audio and video experience but since the Sony Xperia E1 is a budget phone, it did not include it. Fortunately XDA is here to rescue and you can download and install Xreality Engine to Xperia E1 easily. It has been tested on both single and dual SIM variants. All that you need is a rooted Xperia E1 and CWM recovery.

Steps on installing Xreality engine on Xperia E1

* Download the file from this link.
* Put Downloaded file in SD Card and Go to CWM Recovery and Flash it
* Now Open Build.prop and Add these line in end.

Then Save and Exit

ro.service.swiqi3.supported=true
persist.service.swiqi3.enable=1

Now reboot and enjoy.

Philz Custom Recovery is now available for the Sony Xperia E1. To install it on your android phone, you will require unlocked bootloader. You will also need to have particular kernel of your phone model. For instance, Xperia E1 D2005 20.1.A.0.47, Xperia E1 D2105 20.1.B.2.15 and Xperia E1 Dual TV D2114 20.1.B.0.65 have different kernels.

Steps on how to download and install Sony Xperia E1 Philz Custom Recovery

1. Download the kernels and extract zip to somewhere on your computer. Place img in the directory of fastboot.exe
2. Connect your phone in fastboot mode press vol + button while connecting to USB
3. Flash via fastboot. Then to enter into recovery press vol+ button once when green led appears.

Someone at XDA has been able to find all the bloatware on the Sony Xperia E1 and has made a zip fole that removes all the bloatware apps that are using space and eating RAM. This script removes 100 bloatware total and it also removes APK and ODEX files. This means more speed and battery life. Bootimes are also said to have decreased a lot.

There are four De bloating scripts. Use them with philz recovery for Xperia E1 and flash the zip in CWM.

E1KKDebloater.zip — This will remove everything that is useless, such as Sony apps, services, pre-installed Bloatware (exclude File Commander), System apps
E1KKSonyRemover.zip — This will only remove pre-installed Sony apps (Walkman, Album, Select, Longue, etc..)
E1KKJunkRemover.zip — This will only remove junk apps (exclude many Sony apps), but will not touch Android System’s apps
E1KKEraser.zip — This will remove EVERYTHING, You will only have Messaging, Dialer, GPS. Pretty much a heavily slimmed down Android

By the way, here is the list of apps that are deleted with the bloatware removable script – Update Center, All Plugins (FB, Twitter, Wikipedia, YouTube), Google Chrome, Settings wizard, Sony apps (exclude Walkman, Album, Video), Google apps (Games, Films, etc..), Sony themes, Sony wallpapers, Widgets, Data logging junks (Anonymous data for ex.)

Root is available for download for the Sony Xperia E1 and so is its clock work mod recovery a k a CWM. 

Download Xperia E1 Root

Check your version first. If you are on 20.1.A.0.47 you can root it just by simply installing towelroot from here. However if you are on 20.1.A.2.12 or 20.1.A.2.13 or 20.1.A.2.14, then follow these steps.

1.Start FlashTool. If you do not have it on your computer, download it from here.
2. Download (link) and put the firmware that you downloaded into C:/Flashtool/firmwares
3. Click the flash icon on top left
4. Select flashmode and select the downloaded firmware
5. On top right you will have two boxex: CACHE and DATA (you can untick them if you don`t want to lose any data)
6. Down right you have some boxes, untick everything except KERNEL
7. Select flash
8. Hold the volume down button while connecting to the computer
9. Wait
10. Unplug your phone, install Towelroot from the link above and you will get root on your Sony Xperia E1.

Download Xperia E1 CWM Recovery

Now that you have root on your Xperia E1, it is time to install the custom recovery so that you can perform all those hacks. Turn on USB debugging on your phone and download bootstrap alpha and extract it to your computer. Connect your phone to the computer and run the install.bat file. Wait for 20 seconds and you will see that your phone reboots.

Wait until you see blue LED. When you see it, press the volume down button three times to get into custom recovery.
