Use Samsung Multi Control on any Windows computer

Samsung Multi Control lets you copy and paste data among various Samsung mobile phones, tablets and laptops. However, when it comes to laptops, you can only use it on Samsung Galaxy Book, which is a bummer since most of us do not use Samsung laptops. However, there is a way to make Samsung Multi Control work on any Windows laptop and desktops.

Use Samsung Multi Control on any Windows computer

Download version 1.5.5900.0 of Samsung System Support Service from Microsoft Update Catalog.
Extract Samsung System Support Service in c:\SamSysSupSvc.
Use Device Manager to replace the driver of some Other Device with the driver in c:\SamSysSupSvc. Not all devices are suitable. For me, to get a suitable device, I bluetooth pair Windows with my S23 Ultra. This will add a bunch of “Other Devices” like “CONTINUITY_MSG_SPP”.
Installing this driver will automatically install Samsung Settings and Samsung Cloud Sync. If it does not, run ms-windows-store://pdp/?ProductId=9P2TBWSHK6HJ
Start Samsung Settings, if it’s showing Multi Control, you’re already finished! If it only shows Connected Devices, Notifications and About, the backend service is crashing and needs a patch.
Uninstall Samsung System Support Service device driver.
Use a hex editor (like HxD) to modify c:\SamSysSupSvc\SamsungSystemSupportEngine.exe replace offset 0x68140 with 0xc3.
In a administrative command prompt sc create SamSysSupSvc binPath=c:\SamSysSupSvc\SamsungSystemSupportService.exe start=auto
Reboot, check if Samsung Setting shows Connected Devices and Multi Control.
