Samsung has nearly halted all development for the Galaxy Fold 2 but if you can enjoy latest ROMs on it by installing a custom recovery like TWRP on it. This is available for the snapdragon version.
Follow these steps.
- Unlock your bootloader on your Samsung Galaxy Fold 2.
- Download Z Fold 2 5G: f2q.
- Reboot to download mode on Samsung Galaxy Fold 2.
- Put the TWRP TAR for Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 with Odin in the AP slot, vbmeta_disabled_R.tar in USERDATA slot and click start.
- Reboot to recovery via recovery key combo (Vol up + power + USB connected).
- Disable encryption:
- Go to Advanced > Terminal, type: multidisabler.
If vendor complain about free space left on device, will attempt to resize vendor. and it ask to – Run multidisabler again!. - Type: multidisabler again. will see – Finished. when done.
- Go back to Wipe > Format Data > type yes.
- Reboot to recovery.
Flash magisk apk in TWRP and reboot to system. Keep in mind that two things are not working with this TWRP – encryption and haptic feedback.
