Many say windows phone does not have a file explorer but in WP8.1, Microsoft made it opened somewhat more and that has allowed myriad developers an opportunity to make a file explorer for windows phone and the one we recommend getting is the Aerize Explorer.

Nokia has announced that sale of its Windows RT tablet Lumia 2520 will be temporarily suspended. Sales in Denmark, Germany, Finland, Great Britain, Austria, Russia and Switzerland have been affected. The sale has been stopped due to faulty power adapter AC-300.

More than 30000 units have been affected by it. Nokiaviews says Nokia has advised the users to stop using the AC-300 adapter until they get the new charger. If you are affected by it you should email Nokia about it and get the new one for free.

Ramos is a company that is mostly known for its tablet such i10Pro but at the recent Hong Kong fair, the company presented a phablet called P1. It comes equipped with the new and promising MediaTek MT6592 SoC and is somewhat similar to Pipo T8 .

The phablet comes with a 6.44 inch IPS display with a resolution of full HD. The P1 also seems to be equipped with a beautiful aluminum alloy body.

The rear camera has a resolution of 8 megapixels, while the front camera comes with 5 megapixel sensor. Finally, there are several wireless radios on it such as Bluetooth, GPS, FM radio and dual GSM and WCDMA networks.

The battery is rated at 2700 mAh. The operating system is Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean but we do not know if it is upgradeable to the latest 4.4 KitKat in future. Price and availability date of the RAMOS P1 are not yet known.

Mediatek MT6592

As mentioned earlier the MediaTek MT6592 SoC is an octa-core chipset with four ARM Cortex A15 and four A7 cores with a PowerVR G6200 GPU, 2 GB of DDR3 RAM and 32 GB eMMC storage.

Few days back we mentioned about Asus tablets K010, K011 and K013 that were discovered on Bluetooth’s website. Spotted on e-postel’s website, the K012 is 2014 FonePad. Filed as Fe170CG, it features a 7 inch display with resolution of 1024×600 pixels. There are four models of it FE170CG-6C004A, FE170CG-6D004A, FE170CG-6B012A and FE170CG-1A048A. It will be made available in red, black, white and blue.

The Asus K012 FonePad Fe170CG will cost between EUR 99-129. The company will release them at the Computex 2014 event.

NEC Japan has released 10.1 inch tablet meant for business and education in Japan for 117,500 Yen (1150 dollars). It runs on an Intel Atom Z3975 processor clocked at 1.60 GHz that turbo boosts to 2.39 GHz.

The screen packs full HD resolution despite being so small. It has been given gorilla glass treatment so that it does not scratches easily.

LTE model comes with only 64GB flash storage while the non LTE models come with 128GB. Other specifications include 8MP camera, 2 mega pixel webcam, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, micro HDMI output port, micro SDHC card slot, audio input and output. You also get GPS, video acceleration, gyro scope and brightness sensor that automatically adjusts the brightness of the screen.

Battery life is around 13.8 hours on a single charge. The company is said to be working on a similar 12.5 inch windows tablet as well but that is expected to be out in June.

Getac has introduced a rugged tablet called G800 that runs Microsoft windows 8.1 operating system. It packs 8.1 inch 600 nits display with a resolution of 1280 × 800 pixels.

Specifications include capacitive display, digitizer, 5MP webcam with auto focus, LED flash, 1D/2D barcode reader, microSD slot and MIL-STD-810G certified which means it is very rugged.

On the back you can fit in a smart card reader for accepting payments or extra hot swappable battery. Standard battery runtimes are 8 hours and adding in the extra battery doubles those runtimes.

The Getac T800 specifications also include IP65 standard compliance which means it is waterproof and dust proof.

Since April 11th the Samsung Galaxy S5 has been made available in 125 countries and will soon in 150 more. If the words from zdnet are to be believed  the first day sales of S5 are better than S4 by 30-100 percent, depending on the region. In fact there were long queues in front of stores for users in France.
