The SensorScroll uses the Diamond’s scroll wheel to perform scroll-up and scroll-down functions. By default, it performs different functions in different applications. For example: In IE mobile, it scrolls few lines or hop to the nearest link; in notes, it zoom in/out and so on. When using SensorScroll, it OVER-RULES their functions and performs scrolling-up and scrolling-down.

Instructions:
1. Install the application. It adds shortcut in Programs and in WindowsStartup folders
2. Right after installation you may run the application from Programs shortcut (name is Diamond SensorScroll)
3. To use application open a Window with horizontal scroll bar like Programs or File Explorer and try rotating the scroll sensor clockwise for scroll down and counter clockwise for scroll up.
4. Have fun!
5. To stop the application run it again and it will give you an option to stop it.

Remember the T-Mobile Dash 2 we mentioned few days back? Well, it has now been made available on the T-Mobile’s website. As we mentioned before, it is exactly same as before except few cosmetic changes, which include:

T-Mobile Dash black is still a decent QWERTY phone. It costs just $99 now after discount and mail-in rebate, which still makes it a pretty good deal.
The S2U2 is a great application, which uses iPhone-like lock/unlock mechanism to lock/unlock your Windows Mobile device. It comes with the following theme. Without a doubt, everything looks too iPhone-ish.

There is a way to give it a completely new look. See the following theme, which I’m using on my HTC DIAMOND.

Visit BOB_55’s website for more S2U2 stuff, which includes: Continue reading “Some great S2U2 themes [windows mobile professional]”
It is not unknown fact that the HTC Diamond’s and HTC Touch Pro’s D-Pad is very difficult to use. Quite a lot of time, I press the keys around the D-Pad when pressing one of the direction keys. Dredger97, a great coder at Xda-Devs has developed an application, which lets you modify the functions of Answer key and End key respectively.
To use it, just go to the application where you wish to change the functions of those keys surrounding D-Pad. Then, take the stylus out and put it right back-in in 1 seconds or less. You will get a message box telling you the application name. In the following screenshot, I am playing “Lemonade”.

According to the reports of Fudzilla, ASUS is preparing the launch of it’s new another variant EEE PC, the S101H. There are not much details on this new model, but since it is using the suffix “H”, we surmise that it will have a Hard Disk instead of the SSD, which comes with the S101.

The S101 is the lightest 10.2″ netbook. It sports an ultra-thin design, a la Macbook-Air style. So far, Solid-state drive on the S101 has been of shabby capacity so far (16GB on the Windows XP version). The use of hard disk in S101H will attract more buyers who need more space to store the data and stuff.
Also, it will also help ASUS to lower the price a bit by using hard disk, which are cheaper than the SSDs. We will keep you updated with this new model from ASUS
Windows Mobile has attained a certain level of single-hand use. But, many-a-times, we do come across certain applications, which are either very old applications or they fall into the category where the developer itself has not made the application finger friendly.

Looks like the CES is going to more goodies than I personally expected. GBM has received an email from the Digital Experience people, which says that at CES, the OQO is going to unveil an Intel Atom processor version of the OQO. It will also have 2GB RAM and an OLED display! Here is the actual of the email received:
OQO, Inc. announces the new model 2+ with the Intel® Atom™ processor, the world’s first PC OLED display, and worldwide 3G capability. Based on the 1.86GHz Intel Atom processor and 2GB RAM, the OQO model 2+ offers performance up to twice as fast as its predecessor and includes an embedded touchscreen for easier input.
VIA made it’s first appearence in the netbooks field, when it was selected by the HP to be used in HP mininote 2133. It didn’t offer jaw-dropping performance, even on the model with the hightest GHz number: 1.6GHz Via processor equipped 2133 Mininote.
Frankly speaking, it got over-shadowed by the much more efficient and powerful Intel Atom processor. The Intel Atom processor became increasingly popular amoung the Netbook manufactures. HP later on, also went with the Intel Atom processor in it’s new netbook, HP min 1000.
But, now, a brand-new Dual Core VIA processor, which is a very low power processor is in the works and will directly compete with the Intel Atom processor. It should however be noted that Intel Atom also comes in Dual-Core version, but is currently in use only in Nettops (low-power Desktops).
Here are more features of the Dual-Core VIA:
