Kinoma Play released for Windows mobile smartphone

With Kinoma Play, smartphones now have digital media capabilities that meet, and sometimes even exceed, what users can do on their personal computers. Kinoma Play goes beyond organizing and playing a user’s video, audio and picture files, by bringing in media from around the Internet through the built-in Kinoma Guide, the most comprehensive catalog of the freshest, most diverse mobile media available.

Among the key innovations in Kinoma Play:

  • Streaming podcasts – Instead of tediously downloading and syncing, podcasts stream on-demand, so users are always up to date
  • “Media First” user interface – User interface elements all-but-disappear when viewing photos, listening to music, or watching video to keep the focus on the media
  • High quality YouTube – Kinoma Play provides high quality YouTube video by playing the same feeds delivered to your PC, when bandwidth permits
  • Integrated search – Search your phone, your home PC and the Internet to find what you want
  • Menu Pod – A beautifully animated dynamic menu providing fast access to many powerful features

It retails for $29.99.  Here is the direct link to the Kinoma’s Play

Well, on my (dated) Palm Zire 71, Kinoma is a permanent resident. Kinoma has officially jumped into windows mobile arena by stepping into the Windows mobile standard AKA Smartphone market.

We are preparing a review of Kinoma Play! :D

HCL MILEAP MH 04 REVIEW – MSI Wind rebranded as HCL MiLeap MH 04 for India

HCL MILEAP MH 04 REVIEW

HCL has done it again. It will be making rebranding MSI Wind for Indian market. It will be having 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU, 1GB of RAM, an 80GB HDD, and a 10.2 inch 1024 x 600 pixel display. The price will be Rs24,999($580).

  • I don’t know if the readers are aware of the fact that the HCL does not make any of the netbooks/UMPCs.
  • HCL just rebrands them.
  • MSI Wind is already available for Rs21000($490) in India
  • Often, HCL brags at various news conferences and advertisements that it is the maker of these devices!
  • MiLeap V, for instance, is just a rebranded Kohjinsha SH7. At the press conference, they said, “We have MADE this for Indian market”

My suggestion: If you want MSI Wind, get it directly. Not via HCL

Amy DiGregorio Appleby Road Earrings

I have always been a fan of Amy DiGregorio designer earings. The 14k gold hooks and large green glass teardrops will go with every single outfit in your closet.

These $70 earings look very nice and they dance too as you walk or jump!

Aexea KeyXpress Flash Drive looks like a USB key!

Functionality wise, this can be touted as just another USB flash drive, but not design wise. The Aexea KeyXpress looks like a traditional key. The only difference is that it can not be used to open your door ;)

It comes in black, green and light blue color and costs $27. The only gripe: It is not nice to read/write surface exposed all the time. Is it :?:

StorageTools Reviewed – for Windows Mobile professional

StorageTools is a great application that lets you manage your storage cards and even perform de-fragmentation providing great speed improvements.

Windows Mobile OS is the most flexible mobile OS in the phone arena. Unfortunately, the file explorer that comes with the Windows mobile device is too basic when compared to it’s desktop counterpart. It does not offer any utility to manage the memory card of your device.

Fear not. StorageTools is there to rescue you. It has all the features you will ever need! Continue reading “StorageTools Reviewed – for Windows Mobile professional”

The CedeFTP 2.5 flaunts the classic look. It does not have soft keys or fancy graphics. But, that does not matters much to the mobile professional who generally use the stylus to get their critical work done.

Let’s us open/inititiate a new FTP session by going to File>Open
