PocketBrush is a great little application which has great capabilities to let the photographers do photo-editing on the go. It is always great if we are able to edit our pictures before emailing them or MMS-ing them to our friends when we are out of the house.
The PocketBrush cab weighs only 324kb but it packs a lot of features.
Following is the inteface of the PocketBrush. It however does not make use of the soft keys. I personally think that such applications actually do not need soft-key support as we would obviously be using the stylus to do most of the stuff in case of a photo editing application.
The PocketBrush has the capability to save the files in 3 formats:
Let us now play with it’s features:
Jotting down anything was simple and easy. I used the brush tool and had no problems using it. It has been nicely implemented
As you can see in the above figure, you can change the opacity too.
Following screenshot tells you what all shapes are possible. It supports all of them that are included in the Adobe Photoshop too as-far-as-I-am-concerned. It lets you draw lines, curves, rectangles, circles, ellipses and polygons.
You can hide the titlebar to give yourself more space to work with.
When it comes to filters, it contains almost of all of the filters that you are familiar with which is a nice job. Almost every filter that I ‘mostly’ use is there: Guassion blur, Motion Blue, Radial Blue, Sepia, Emboss, Noice, Mosaic and bunch of other familiar filters.
In short, you will feel at home with the host of filters avaiable. Nice job GVmobile!
It does not offer support for the PSD files. This may be a dealbreakaer for those who work on Photoshop PSD files . But, for those who work directly on JPG or PNG images, it can be best bang for a buck one can get on a mobile device.
