Samsung stopped supporting the Galaxy Note 2 long time back but XDA is still pumping out ROMs and updates for this android phone. XenonHD ROM is now available for the device that brings you latest Android 7 Nougat on it. This obviously requires you to have Galaxy Note 2 custom recovery or TWRP onboard as that is the only way to install a third party, unofficial ROM on an android phone.
This Android 7 firmware is based on cyanogen mod 14.1 which means you get vanilla android experience – something that you find on Nexus range of phones. Please note that gapps are not preinstalled on it, but you can install them immediately after ROM installation in custom recovery.
