Samsung may never release Android 9 Pie for the Galaxy Note 9 but XDA team has churned out the latest Android for the smartphone and you can run it now on it. Keep in mind that this is the first android 9 port for it so expect some bugs here and there. This build is only for test purpose only and not meant to be used as a daily driver.

Here is what is working – boot, wifi, camera (via footej app) and SD card.

How to install Android 9 on the Galaxy Note 3.

– Backup all your data (Important)
– Wipe /system, /data and cache.
– Flash the ROM in Note 3 TWRP and install GApps in recovery immediately after ROM installation  https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=280962
– Reboot

This is brought to you by Potato Open Sauce Project which is similar to AOSP firmware and that means you get vanilla android experience with no Samsung’s TouchWiz installed anywhere. The experience is quite similar to one found on Pixel series android phones. Potato Open Sauce Project team members have hand picked the best features and installed them into this Galaxy Note 3 ROM.

There are no bugs reported so far but as pointed out earlier, this is the first ROM for the Android phone so expect bugs.

Little is known at the moment of the Vega 20 card that AMD presented at the Taipei Computer Show and that as we confirmed will come in a lithography of 7 nm thanks to TSMC and with 32 GB of VRAM HBM2 in its version for Radeon Instinct. From the presentation by Lisa Su and the filtered data of TSMC, a series of conclusions have been drawn up to the point that Vega 20 could be up to 65% faster than Vega 64.

If you want to underclock or overclock Samsung Galaxy Note 3 snapdragon edition, you can do so by downloading and installing this custom kernel. It is called Lolz-kernel and is meant to be installed only in snapdragon devices.

How to install Lolz-kernel?

1. Download the kernel zip file from here – https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=5862345805528064859
2. Go to your Galaxy Note 3 TWRP > flash the kernel zip file and then magisk if you want root Galaxy Note 3.
3. Reboot.

Samsung stopped supporting the Galaxy Note 2 long time back but XDA is still pumping out ROMs and updates for this android phone. XenonHD ROM is now available for the device that brings you latest Android 7 Nougat on it. This obviously requires you to have Galaxy Note 2 custom recovery or TWRP onboard as that is the only way to install a third party, unofficial ROM on an android phone.

This Android 7 firmware is based on cyanogen mod 14.1 which means you get vanilla android experience – something that you find on Nexus range of phones. Please note that gapps are not preinstalled on it, but you can install them immediately after ROM installation in custom recovery. Download package from opengapps.org and install latest package from there.
