With so many companies launching their own appstores, why would Acer want to sit back? But, we do not want to get our hopes up so much. Why? Because whenever we expect these companies to launch a proper app store, these companies comes with app stores that are nothing more than glorified mobile versions of pocket gear or handango website that open in IE mobile (see this, and this).
That said, Acer has not made an official announcement as Acer’s senior corporate vice president, Mr. Aymar de Lencquesaing said at the Press Event in London that they are still examining the viability of an App Store
