Its 13.3 “screen gives way to a new retina screen (without specifying resolution) with 50% thinner edges. What we do know is that it will have 4 million pixels and 48% more color compared to its predecessor.

At the heart of this notebook is an Intel Core i5 eighth generation that is probably either an i5-8250U or an i5-8265U, since what has been revealed are its frequencies will be 1.6 GHz base and a 3.6 GHz boost, so in principle does not match any of these two CPUs, unless the brand has decided to raise the frequencies to the i5-8250U or lower them to the i5-8265U.

What we do know is that it will carry 16 GB of DDR4 at 2133 MHz and an SSD of up to 1.5 TB, the latter being 60% faster than its previous counterpart.

It will include as usual in other models of the Thunderbolt 3 brand (3 ports in total), a FaceTime HD webcam and the novelty of including Touch ID to make online payments. Apple has also included a new backlit butterfly keyboard with third generation keys to solve the problem of the jammed keys that occurred in other models.

In addition, it will include 25% louder speakers with stronger bass, but also three microphones to improve video calls and improve Siri’s voice recognition.

Their prices will start from $ 1199 for the model with i5, 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of SSD, being possible to reserve them from today, since they will be on sale from November 7.

Mac mini 2018

Four years after its presentation, Apple has presented what it describes as a powerful desktop computer manufactured in the same aluminum as the Macbook Air 2018.

This new Mac mini 2018 will have two variants in terms of processor, being able to choose between quadcore and sixcore respectively, they will all be Intel CPUs thanks to its eighth generation.

Apart from the extra power that this implies, since from Haswell to Coffee Lake there is a large performance jump, the new ventilation system will allow better temperatures and possibly a higher frequency than expected.

It was a pleasant surprise to see that we can have up to 64 GB of 2666 MHz DDR4 installed in our new Mac mini, while the storage also extends to 2 TB with Apple T2 chip for security.

The graphical section has also been renewed logically, where Apple estimates an increase of up to 60% in extra performance compared to Mac mini 2014.

To complete the features, Apple has included a network card 10 Gbps (optional) 4 – port Thunderbolt, three USB Type C, one HDMI and two USB Type A. Added to the predictable connection for speakers, microphone and power, in principle would have everything that any user may need.

The price of the basic configuration (i3, 8 GB DDR4 and 128 GB SSD) will be priced at $ 899 and can be purchased from November 7 in a stylish Space Gray standard.
