Panther Rage DDR4 RGB: Apacer combines new LEDs and familiar design

Panther Rage DDR4 RGB

Shortly after Computex, Apacer announced several new Panther Rage family storage kits. At its center is the new, RGB RAM chip – Panther Rage DDR4 RGB. Visually, the new kits are based on the Panther Rage series, which includes the Panther Rage Illumination DDR4-3000. It comes with the Heatspreader with integrated Panter design as well as the plastic inserts on the top, which should remind of fangs with illuminated LEDs. However, you do not only offer a version with mainly black heatspreader. Instead, customers can choose between black with gold applications and gold.

In all cases, there are five RGB LEDs on each board that emit their light through the plastic elements. The new controller, for which there is no information, should improve the performance with respect to the LEDs by 200%. Apacer does not reveal what this refers to. This is promised by the smooth cooperation with ASUS Aura. Lighting systems from other providers such as Gigabyte or MSI are not mentioned.

Information on the programmed JEDEC profiles does not yet exist, even prices and the date for the launch Apacer retains for themselves. The warranty period is estimated at three years.
