TrekStor is a German company that has launched a Windows Phone called TrekStor WinPhone. It costs € 150 and has a thickness of only 7.5 mm. It weighs only 99.6 grams with body made entirely of polycarbonate. Like the Microsoft Lumia range, the back covers are interchangeable by user.

Obviously, this was achieved at the cost of some compromises, first of which is the small battery that packs mere 1750 mAh capacity. Second while the display measures 4.7 inches, it has resolution of only 1280 x 720 pixels.

Ello is an ad-free social networking service that was launched back in March 2014. According to an email sent to windows central, the company is planning to release applications for Windows Phone, iPhone and Android phones. Here is the email they sent,

We are working on Ello mobile apps for iPhones, Androids, AND Window’s Phones! :) We’ll send out a newsletter when each is released so that you know when they are available to use. Once the app is out, Ello should run more smoothly on mobile devices. We believe a social network can be a tool for empowerment. Not a tool to deceive, coerce and manipulate — but a place to connect, create and celebrate life. You are not a product.

Right now Ello is an invitation only service and the company never revealed the number of current users on the site. However the company has generated a whopping 5.5 million dollars in venture capital investment. It has also generated a significant revenue through T-shirt sales.

Microsoft launched the Nokia Lumia 735 in United States in September, a lot of windows phone fans have been waiting to get their hands on it. Earlier we thought that the Redmond giant would definitely make it available during Christmas but alas, that did not happen.

The Nokia Lumia 735 was marked as coming soon on Microsoft’s website until yesterday when they completely removed its holding spot from their website. Now when you visit the page l, you get their generic “not available” webpage.

So when will the Nokia Lumia 735 be released in United States? Well now that the page is gone, chances of 735 coming to this land are bleak. Some of our mobile experts say they’re having problems with VoLTE on Verizon but we cannot prove anything until Microsoft comes out and comments on this situation.

Adidas has announced an update to its miCoach Train and Run app for windows phone 8.1 which will allow WP8.1 users to use the company’s Fit Smart wrist based heart rate coach with their devices.

Following the update, you will be able to pair, configure and transfer your completed and planned workouts. You would also be able to use Fit Smart for sending heart rate, speed, distance and stride information in real time to the Train and Run app.

Both miCoach Train and Run apps are very popular among windows phone users, thanks to their comprehensive cardio, strength and flexibility training programs developed in partnership with the elite coaches at Exos.

The Adidas Fit Smart Wrist can store up to 10 hours of training data at one time and it makes use of optical sensor to measure your heart rate and accelerometer to track speed, distance and stride rate from your wrist.

Microsoft Mobile is said to be launching its Lumia buy back offer in India that will encourage the Lumia users to upgrade to higher models and to increase the sales of Lumia devices.

Under this offer you will be able to get up 65 percent of existing device values. Of course there is a catch – the offer is only valid if you upgrade in the three months from the last purchase.

Discounts will range from 10% to 50% if such exchanges happen in six months and will also hinge on the condition of the older Lumia phone being swapped.

This offer is not valid for devices with purchase date beyond six months. However if your device is not in working condition and is still under 6 months range, you will still get 10 percent discount. This includes if your device has broken display and is brutally scratched.

A gaming site from France is reporting that the FIFA 15 is coming to Windows Phone platform soon. However EA Mobile has not made an announcement regarding this.

The game is already available for both iOS and Android platforms though. It is free on both and comes with in-app purchases.
